Oak Harbor Day Two - Old Pioneer Cemetery


After the Island County Historical Society we visited the old pioneer cemetery not far from it. We saw the grave stone of Mary Barrett Lindsay Maylor, Samuel Maylor’s first wife. She died in child birth in 1861. He bought a fancy gravestone for her. We also saw his Block House where they could defend themselves from Hostile Indian raids. Here are the pictures:














Oak Harbor Day Two - Coupeville and Island County Historical Society

Monday morning we got up and went down to Coupeville and the Island County Historical Society. Coupeville is a pretty small town out of the early 19th century. Here are some of the pictures we took from there, especially all the pretty flowers in its front yard:





















Oak Harbor Day One - Cousin Ralph and Helene Valdez' place

After the cemetery we went to Susan's cousin Helene Valdez' home for dinner. They fed us a fabulous dinner. They also live in 20 million dollar place. They have the best view in all Whidbey Island. Here are some of the pictures I took from their back yard:
