North Cascades Tunnel

As we went up the Cascades the track just disappeared into the mountain in the North Cascades Tunnel. Everything went dark and the inside lights came on. The North Cascades Tunnel is the longest rail road tunnel in North America. We were in the dark for about ten minutes.


When we came out we found ourselves on the top of the mountains with a river far below us. We slowly wound ourselves down the mountain until we came to Everett, Washington.
